CIF All Star Game
Four players from the Antelope Valley played in the CIF All Star Game this past Saturday at Paramount High School. Alex Anderson (Palmdale HS), Roberto Mariscal (Palmdale HS), Gerardo Santiago (Palmdale HS), and Edgar Rodriguez (Littlerock HS) helped the Division 2 all stars defeat Division 1 by a score of 2-1.
Littlerocks Edgar Rodriguez would create the opportunity for the first goal when he was taken down in the box after pushing the ball past the last defender.

Rodriguez would finish the job and slot the PK into the bottom right corner. The Div. 2 team would add another goal in the final minutes of the game. The Div. 1 team got a constalation goal with two minutes remaining. Anderson, the GL MVP, played the entire 90 minutes stopping the opposition on many opportunities. Gerardo Santiago started the game in the left back position helping the defense to a near shutout. Roberto Mariscal was an attacking mid for most of the game creating many opportunities for himself and others on the team. In the end, the Golden League was represented well at the CIF All Star Game.
