Rattler Youth Club Changes Name
The Rattlers Youth Soccer Club has changed its name to the Antelope Valley Futbol Club. We are not a new club; everything is the same except for the name, our colors and all the new teams! We want to wish the Rattlers Super 20’s & PDL good luck in their future endeavors.

Our board and coaches all agreed it was the right time to make a change and that made the decision a lot easier. Our decision was based on 2 things; freeing up financial resources and the need for a name that no longer alienated other areas of the Antelope Valley. We feel that we have accomplished both.

2009 was a very successful club season for us; we were also able to start up the minis last fall. The minis are a very important step to building the club from the bottom up. To continue in the right direction and implement the plans we have we needed to make a financial decision; raise prices or cut current expenses, we chose to cut expenses. During this process our coaches approached us about changing the name so that it would include everyone not just Lancaster. It was important that our new name include the entire Antelope Valley and not alienate anyone.

We have all of our current teams retuning plus the new teams that we developed this past year. Our club currently does not hold open tryouts. Our practices are open; if your son or daughter is interested in playing for AVFC you should contact the appropriate team for a try out.

Please call club president Jack Larkin at 661-992-5536 for more information.
