Youth Baseball
The So Cal Sun Devils competed in the Super Series 14U National Division Veteran’s Day Classic in Moreno Valley 11/17-11/18 and won a berth to the Super Series Winter National Championships in Arizona. The Sun Devils went 4-0 in the tournament and out scored their opponents 33-6. In the championship game they faced the Riverside Revolution (Black) and won the game 6-1. Once again timely hitting and great pitching was the key. This is the second birth in the 14U upper division that they have earned this winter.
Another local team, AV Air Attack, went 1-2-1 in an earlier Super Series tournament, also in Moreno Valley. The team overcame injuries, fatigue, and a very tough bracket to advance to the semifinals before losing. Both losses came to Riverside Revolution by a total of 3 runs. Two of the four games went extra innings, including the 11 inning contest that sent them to the semifinal.
