Youth Football Playoffs
November 17th, 2007
The Lancaster Jets had a big day at Littlerock High School, taking home three Super Bowl titles. The Highland Red Bulldogs won the Jr. Midget title. Check back later for results from the Midget game.
Mitey Mite: Jets Cruise to Title, 37-7
A balanced rushing attack and a smothering defense carried the Lancaster Jets to a Super Bowl title in the Mitey Mite division, 37-7 over the Highland Red Bulldogs.

Rasheed “Speedy” Nailor found pay dirt four times, and Morrel Osling scored twice for the Jets. Joshua Fabio scored late for the Bulldogs to help them avoid the shutout.

The Jets finished the year a perfect 12-0. The Bulldogs, the 3rd place team during the regular season, finish 10-3.
Jr Pee Wee: Early Score Holds Up for Jets
Demario Richard blasted off a 44-yard run to give the Jets an early 6-0 lead, and their defense did the rest as they held of the Palmdale Falcons 6-0.

The Falcons threatened several times, but turnovers continually hurt them. They fumbled inside the Jet 20 yard line late in the 3rd quarter, but got another chance at redemption moments later when the Jets punter was sacked at his own 9-yard line following a bad snap. But once again they fumbled, and the Jets escaped with the 6-0 win.

Falcon running back Trevaun Cherry had several big runs for the Falcons. The Jets finish the year 10-0, while the Falcons end the season at 10-3.

Pee Wee: Jets Pull Away From Rebels, 20-6
A tense, hard fought game was closer then the score indicated, as the Jets pulled away late from the Rebels 20-6.

Tristan Brown got the Jets on the board with a 29-yard 1st quarter run, but the Rebels answered with a 67-yard scoring drive to pull even, 6-6. The Rebels maintained momentum by recovering the ensuing onside kick, but the Jets Jaykwon Jones stole it right back on the next play with a nice interception. Then, it was the Rebels turn, as they got the ball right back on a fumble recovery.

The Rebel’s Kohl Broyard had a TD run called back on a holding call, and the Jets had a late drive that got to the Rebel 5 as time expired in the half.

The Jets’ Jones hauled in a reception at the Rebel 5-yard line on their 2nd possession of the 2nd half, and Marcellous Bell punched it in to give the Jets a 12-6 lead heading into the 4th quarter. The Rebels got as far as the Jet 41 before turning the ball over on downs, leading to the Jets final scoring drive of the day. Jones ripped off a 26-yard run, and Tristan Brown punched it in to make it 20-6 Jets.
