Nationally Known Club Lands in AV

AV Rush Soccer Club has begun operations in the Antelope Valley, and will begin practicing and playing at the beautiful Lancaster National Soccer Complex. 

Rush is a nation wide club.  Their home office is in Colorado, but they have teams across the nation, from is the largest club in the nation with many teams from Hawaii and Alaska to Pennyslvania and Kentucky.  They also have four clubs based in Africa.

The AV club is looking for players  in all age groups, as well as existing teams, to add to their already committed teams for the 2010 spring and fall seasons.

For G-U10, G-U13, and a new G-U13, open tryouts are held every Monday and Wednesday on Field #2, from 5:30-7:30.

For BU13, BU14, and GU15, tryouts will be held every Tuesday and Thursday on  Field #2 from 6:00-7:30.

Rush is the only club in the A.V. that has two "A" licensed coaches on their staff. Their "A" licensed Coaches will also be responsible for overseeing the overall development of the individual player, the teams, as well as the development of the other coaches on the staff. 

Following is the background on a few of their coaches:

Paul Labella, Rush's Director of Coaching holds a USSF "A" License, German "B" License, Cal-South State coach, Cal-South Scout, Cal-South Coaching Education Staff, Region IV Coach, National Staff Coach. Labella has trained several young women from the Antelope Valley who have gone on to play at the collegiate level and others  who he currently train are being recruited by colleges for the 2011 and 2012 classes. 

MJ Tate, Rush's Technical Director holds a USSF "A" License, UEFA B License and an English FA Coaching Certificate.  Most recently MJ was a DOC for Utah Rush coaching two Top 30 National Club teams as well as the first coach in Utah to win a National Championship with the Utah Women´s select team at the Home Depot Center. Tate's coaching experiences also includes Head Coach of So Cal Rush WPSL Team, Assistant Coach Malta U17 National Team, Randburg Youth Team (South Africa), and many other high profile coaching experiences. MJ is a former professional player. MJ has a proven track record coaching well over 100 players that have played or are playing college soccer, with the very elite players he has coached playing or having played Professional Men's and Woman's soccer. 

Gabe Romo Jr, Trainer / Coach holds a National Soccer Coaches Association of America Diploma (Equivalent to a National "D" License). Romo is the West Coast Scout for the University of Kansas Wesleyan. He is currently the Head Varsity Boys Coach at Lancaster High School. Romo will be the head coach of the new G-U13 team and B-U14 teams.

AV Rush also has access to numerous College Head Coaches as well as many other USSF "A" and "B" license coaches throughout the Rush Nation.
